the Acting Attorney General's minute of the 4th of June, that
not being a member of the Government service Mr. Slade was
doubtless unaware of its contents. The proposed new charge

10834) that the Governor and Council have carefully considered
the question of prosecuting Knight for making immoral propo-
sals and decided in the negative all the facts connected
with these immoral proposals came under the purview of the
Council in connection with the previous charges.
